My art practice aims to explore the sensory qualities and power that textiles can offer in both immersive and non-immersive spaces.

My research and art practice has been (and continues to be) heavily influenced by the incorporation of memory in art – more closely the ‘postmemory’ (a memory occurring across generations through the notion of storytelling and oral pass over). I am interested in the influence of war on an emotional level across generations, in particularly the aftermath of the Second World War, which has taken an influence on my own European heritage and identity and led to the prominence of storytelling within my family life.

I aspire to regenerate the qualities of emotion, reaction and impact for the viewer through my art practice, just as these qualities have inspired my own pathway throughout my art practice and study at the University of Wollongong.
