I believe that the purpose of making art has always been about conveying a narrative or constructing one. My works take a critical view of social, political and cultural issues. Queer politics and cyborg iconographies are the main subjects I explore. Often times, I find that these concepts reveal the notions of despair, loss and what it means to be an outcast. By visually representing a transsexual woman in my paintings and creating an installation that depicts a cyborg figure I have broadened my interpretation of humanity.
